Samsung Smart TV app not working after update — step by step fixes

Hi everyone! Starting this thread to discuss the topic and hear from others with similar experiences. Happy to answer questions and share more details if needed.
 
The August 2023 Samsung OS update was a problem for me. Cleared cache and reinstalled — took two tries.
 
Try going to Settings > Apps > [AppName] > Clear Cache first. Then try Clear Data if cache doesn't fix it.
 
I had to downgrade the Samsung firmware to get mine back working. Bit extreme but it worked.
 
Samsung has a USB firmware downgrade process. It's on their developer forums. I can link the process.
 
After the last Samsung update I noticed the app uses more memory. Check your TV's available RAM.
 
My fix was turning off HDMI-CEC which apparently was interfering with the app somehow.
 
Solved mine by factory resetting just the Smart Hub, not the whole TV. Takes 2 minutes.
 
[SOLVED] Smart Hub reset fixed the issue for multiple people here. Mark your TVs accordingly.
