CDNs use DNS to direct you to the nearest server. Different DNS servers route differently.

Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 is fast for DNS resolution but doesn't always give optimal CDN routing.

Your ISP's DNS is usually fine for CDN routing but slower to resolve new domains.

I switched from ISP DNS to 1.1.1.1 and noticed slightly faster initial load times.

Faster DNS resolution = faster first load. But doesn't affect stream quality once started.

Both are Google DNS. The second (8.8.4.4) is the secondary fallback. Both work equally.

NextDNS allows custom filtering while being fast. Good option if you want DNS filtering.

Some aggressive DNS filters block streaming CDN domains. Use a permissive DNS for streaming.
