Smart IPTV app on Samsung TV — setup and common issues

Starting this thread to share my experience and hear from others in the community. Happy to discuss in detail.
 
Settings > General > Network > Network Status > IP Settings > MAC Address.
 
The MAC is a hardware identifier, so it lives in the TV settings, not the app.
 
Once activated, you enter your M3U URL in the Smart IPTV website — not in the TV app.
 
That's an unusual setup flow. Entering the URL on the website then it syncs to the TV.
 
If the TV app shows 'no playlists' after activation, give it 10-15 minutes to sync.
 
Note: Smart IPTV requires a one-time payment of about $5.99 to unlock unlimited playlists.
