Poland. One thing I noticed — the Polish channels EPG is accurate. Previous services I used had incorrect EPG timing for Polish broadcasts. This one seems properly configured.

New Zealand — if you install multiple apps (TiviMate, XCIPTV, etc.) on the box, organise them in the Android TV launcher. Long press on an app icon to move it to the top row for quick access. A clean launcher home screen makes switching between apps much easier.

Disabling auto-updates for the specific app is a good preventive measure. You then control when to update rather than having Amazon push potentially buggy versions automatically.

Another diagnostic: check if you have a TV data cap or fair usage policy that might be triggering speed reduction. Some cheaper broadband packages throttle after you exceed a monthly data threshold. IPTV uses significant data — several GB per hour of HD viewing.

Australia — moved my Apple TV from Wi-Fi 6 to Ethernet even though it was the newest Wi-Fi standard. Still noticed an improvement in stability during major sports broadcasts. The consistency advantage of a physical connection is real regardless of Wi-Fi generation.

Black screen on channel click usually means the streams are connecting but something is blocking playback. Check whether your ISP might be intercepting video traffic — try changing DNS to 1.1.1.1 in the MAG network settings.

Two options: use a VPN (adds small latency overhead but eliminates throttling) or contact the ISP and negotiate. I did both — used a VPN short-term and negotiated a better plan.

Replaced the batteries in my MAG remote and now it does not work at all. The device works fine when I use the buttons directly on the box. New batteries confirmed working.

I have been using a paid streaming service for six months without problems on HD channels. Recently tried 4K content and it buffers every few minutes. My connection shows 150Mbps on a speed test. Sharing what I found and the fix.

TVHeadend was the Linux alternative — still exists today but was very different back then.
