Using two different IPTV apps simultaneously on one subscription — is it possible?

I want to test TiviMate on my Android TV box while also using the provider app on my phone. Both would be on the same subscription. Will this work or will one connection block the other?

Depends entirely on how many simultaneous connections your subscription includes. One connection means one active stream at a time, regardless of which app or device.

Even if you have two connections, they need to be truly simultaneous streams to both count. Just having both apps open but only streaming on one usually only uses one connection slot.

The apps themselves do not interfere with each other. It is the server-side connection count that is the limit.

One important note: some providers count each app open as a connection even if you are not actively streaming. These are the providers to avoid — that model is unusual but exists.

Test with a short simultaneous stream on both devices during your trial period. If the second one buffers or disconnects, you have hit your connection limit.

Good thread. Also worth noting: some providers count VOD streams separately from live channel streams. Confirm this if you plan heavy VOD use alongside live.
