HDR10+ is more demanding than standard HDR10. Content requires higher bitrate.

Yes — HDR10+ dynamic metadata adds overhead. Requires ~35Mbps minimum sustained.

Router firmware update gave me 5Mbps extra throughput. Just enough for HDR10+.

Also try enabling QoS for the streaming device. Prioritizes its traffic.

QoS helped more than I expected. HDR10+ is buttery smooth now.

For cable connections: request a line quality check from your ISP. Signal levels matter.

ISP sent technician who found signal levels 3dB low. After fix, HDR10+ works perfectly.
