IPTV service account says active but app shows expired — how to resolve

Paid for a renewal and my provider confirms the account is active and extended. But when I open my IPTV app (TiviMate) it still shows the account as expired or shows an authentication error. My provider is saying the account is definitely active. What is the disconnect?

This is almost always a cached authentication issue in the app, not an actual account problem. Here is what happens: when your previous subscription expired, the app recorded an "expired" status. Even after the provider renews the account on their server, the app may still hold the cached "expired" response until it refreshes.\n\nFix: in TiviMate, go to Settings → Playlists → select your playlist → Update. This forces TiviMate to re-authenticate against the server and pull fresh account status. If the account is active on the provider's end, this should resolve it.

If the forced update does not fix it: delete the playlist entirely from TiviMate and re-add it with your credentials. This clears all cached data for that playlist and forces a completely fresh authentication. You will need to re-configure your channel groups and settings but it guarantees a fresh start.

UK user — had this after a renewal. TiviMate showed expired for 6 hours after the provider confirmed the account was active. Turns out TiviMate caches authentication tokens and they had a TTL (time to live) of several hours. Simply waiting and trying again the next morning resolved it completely.

XCIPTV users: the fix is similar. Go to App Settings → Clear Cache, then restart the app. On next launch it will re-authenticate against the server fresh. If the provider has renewed your account, it should show as active after this.

Ireland — had an issue where the provider had renewed the account but on a different "connection" slot than before, effectively creating a new connection entry. The old credentials in TiviMate were still pointing to the previous connection. Provider had to either merge them or send me the new credentials for the active connection.

One more cause: if the subscription renewal happened and the provider changed your server URL or login credentials (some providers do this during account renewals), your app still has the old credentials. Any credentials change on the provider's side requires you to update the playlist/credentials in the app manually.

Canada — easiest diagnostic: log into your provider's account panel via a web browser (not the app). If the panel shows your subscription as active with a future expiry date, the account is definitely fine and the issue is in the app. If the panel shows expired, the renewal has not processed correctly on their end.

Australia — if your provider has a web player or any other way to verify streams independently of your IPTV app, test that. If streams work via an alternative method but not in TiviMate/XCIPTV, it is 100% an app-side caching issue rather than an account issue.
