Every time I unplug my MAG 322 the portal URL resets to blank. I have to re-enter it every time. There has to be a way to make it remember.

This is a known issue on certain MAG firmware versions. The portal URL is stored in volatile memory on affected units.

Which firmware version is your MAG 322 running? This problem was fixed in specific firmware releases.

Settings → Information → Firmware Version. Note the full version string and compare with the latest available on infomir.eu.

My MAG 254 had the same issue and a firmware update fixed it completely. The URL now persists through power cycles.

I tried the firmware update but the issue persisted. What else can cause this?

After firmware update, do a factory reset before re-entering the URL. A clean state sometimes resolves persistence issues that survive firmware updates.

Factory reset process for MAG:
1. Settings → Advanced Settings → Factory Reset.
2. Confirm the reset.
3. Allow the device to reboot fully.
4. Re-enter only the portal URL — do not restore backup settings.
5. Power off and on again to confirm the URL persists.

Also check: some MAG power supplies output slightly below spec voltage. Insufficient power can prevent proper write operations to flash memory.

Using the original power adapter that came with the MAG is important. Third-party adapters sometimes output insufficient current even if the voltage is correct.

RESOLVED. Firmware update to 2.21.4 plus a factory reset fixed it permanently. URL survives multiple power cycles now.

Reminder: always download MAG firmware from the official infomir.eu website to ensure you get the correct version for your specific model.
