MAG portal shows channel list but all streams fail to load

A specific issue where the channel guide loads correctly on MAG but clicking any channel results in no playback.
 
This usually means the portal URL is correct but the stream server address is different or blocked.
 
Check if your ISP has started blocking streaming content — this is increasingly common.
 
Use a VPN for a test. If streams work with VPN on and fail without it, your ISP is blocking.
 
A good test VPN: ProtonVPN has a free tier that is sufficient for testing purposes.
 
If ISP blocking is confirmed, using a DNS-over-HTTPS provider sometimes bypasses the block.
 
Contact your provider support — they may have an alternate stream server address for your region.
 
The MAG may have stored a cached outdated portal URL. Clear the MAC reservation and re-add.
 
Settings → System → Hard Reset or navigate to Servers and delete the portal entry, then re-add.
 
Another cause: the MAG device firmware blocks certain stream protocols. Firmware update can help.
 
I solved this by switching from the default portal to a backup portal URL provided by my service.
 
Always ask your provider for both a primary and backup portal URL when you subscribe.
 
The backup URL saved me during a maintenance window that knocked out the primary for a weekend.
