New Zealand — catch-up quality varies. Cable catch-up was seamless and reliable (using the same cable infrastructure). IPTV catch-up on the services I have used is reliable for major channels but patchy for smaller channels. This is the area where IPTV has most room to improve.

If all else fails: delete the playlist and re-add it from scratch with fresh credentials from your provider. This clears everything and starts clean, which resolves most EPG issues that persist after the above steps.

UK user — had this exact pattern. Turned out to be a dodgy Ethernet cable with a partially failed RJ45 connector at one end. The connection was fine under most conditions but would briefly drop when the cable was under slight tension from the TV moving. New cable, zero freezes.

Firestick processing limitations on high-bitrate 4K is a known issue with older models. The Fire TV Cube or Firestick 4K Max handles higher bitrates much better.

UK user — TiviMate on Firestick is my primary setup. ClearWave works with the Xtream Codes connection. Catch-up works perfectly. EPG is accurate to the minute.

Australia — conclusion: tested on six different devices and apps. All work. Best experience on Android TV box with TiviMate for live, OTT Navigator for VOD.

FIXED: Had two issues simultaneously. The new router used a different subnet and I had a static IP set on the MAG. Switched to DHCP and disabled SIP ALG. Portal connects immediately now.
