UK user — my EPG disappeared after my router updated its firmware overnight. The new firmware had DNS filtering enabled by default that was blocking the EPG server. Changed router DNS to 1.1.1.1 and EPG immediately loaded on the next refresh.

One thing to note: Smart IPTV on LG webOS behaves slightly differently from Samsung. The activation is the same MAC-based system on siptv.eu but the webOS version has its own quirks. Make sure you are using the webOS-specific M3U upload option on the siptv.eu website, not the general one.

Hisense Android TV models have good app compatibility. Google Play makes installing IPTV apps much simpler than the Samsung or LG ecosystems.

New Zealand — MAG remote buttons were non-responsive after a few months. Cleaned the contacts with a pencil eraser as suggested in the MAG remote troubleshooting guide. Working again.

Wolf Launcher or ATV Launcher significantly improve the Fire TV experience for IPTV users. Clean, simple, no ads on the home screen.

Scenario 2: Single-provider household. If you use one provider and they offer a good portal, MAG is perfectly optimized for that use case. No app management overhead.

Network interference during peak hours is the key variable. Wi-Fi performance degrades as nearby networks increase activity.

UPDATE: Fixed! The provider needed me to register the TV's MAC address. Did that, restarted the app, and it authenticated correctly. Now streaming perfectly on the TV. The phone used the Xtream credentials but the Smart TV app used portal mode which requires MAC approval. Different connection...

A firmware update can wipe saved session tokens and in some cases change the reported MAC address of the TV. If the TV's MAC changes after a firmware update, the provider side still has the old MAC registered, causing the mismatch.
