Portal cache clear on MAG: Settings → Advanced Settings → Portal Cache → Clear. Or on some firmware versions: Settings → Middleware section → Cache → Clear Portal Cache. After clearing, the portal will reload all data on next boot, which resolves many sluggish UI issues.

Most common cause on Firestick and Android TV boxes: hardware decode is set to Auto instead of enabled explicitly. When Auto mode incorrectly selects software decode for H.265 streams, the CPU handles video decoding. Under load (4K, complex scenes) the CPU cannot keep up, so frames are dropped...

UK summary: Samsung Tizen + Smart IPTV works reliably across many model years. LG webOS similarly. Sony Android TV is best for flexibility. All viable options.

USA, West Coast. Televizo app on a Google Chromecast with Android TV. Excellent performance. The 4K HDR streams particularly impressed me — very smooth even at peak hours.

Major sports events are the real test. If a service holds up during peak sports viewing, it is well-built.
