The daily updates mean the channel list is always current. I had been on a service that barely updated and it showed. This feels more professionally managed.

UK user — the EPG accuracy difference is real but minor. Cable EPG is populated by the broadcaster directly. IPTV EPG depends on the XMLTV data your provider uses, which may lag by 15–30 minutes during live event overruns. For most viewing it is unnoticeable.

The most common mistake: using a popular free or shared VPN server. These are massively overloaded. If you are using a free VPN tier or a heavily-marketed consumer VPN at peak hours, the server is congested. Switch to a less popular server in the same VPN app.

My router is in the living room about 4 metres from the TV. The Wi-Fi signal shows full bars on the TV. Do I really need to bother running an Ethernet cable? People keep saying Ethernet is better but is there actually a noticeable difference at short range?

Even if you have two connections, they need to be truly simultaneous streams to both count. Just having both apps open but only streaming on one usually only uses one connection slot.

The upload speed matters if anyone in the house streams out or video calls a lot.
