Australia — after any major TiviMate update, go through Settings once to verify nothing has reset to defaults. Hardware decode setting particularly has been known to revert to Auto after major updates.

Canada — tried both on Nvidia Shield Pro. TiviMate for regular watching, XCIPTV as backup. Both work well. If you can only choose one for a Firestick 4K Max: start with XCIPTV for the simplicity, then add TiviMate when you want to explore the more advanced EPG features.

TiviMate on a Firestick 4K Max, wired via a powerline adapter because I cannot run Ethernet directly to the room. Powerline is not as good as Ethernet but far better than Wi-Fi for this use case.

The data clearly supports Ethernet as the preferred connection for paid streaming. The practical question is whether it is feasible to run cable in your specific home.

XCIPTV 4 runs acceptably on 2GB devices but 3GB or more is recommended for smooth EPG browsing.

Look for providers that publish transparent downtime logs rather than just uptime percentages.
